I already had the photos. I had the work samples. I had the curriculum. I thought, “Ilalagay ko lang naman lahat sa pages. How hard could it be?”

More than an hour later, I was still adjusting photos one by one:
Make this one smaller. Move that one to the right. Ayusin ang spacing. Add a caption. Check if everything looks balanced.
Tapos kapag may bagong photo na idadagdag, iuusog ko na naman lahat. Nasaan ang hustisya? Hindi naman ako ang student, pero bakit parang ako ang may class project? 😂
I looked at the page and thought: I don’t enjoy this.
The learning had already happened. We read the books. We finished the lessons. We went on nature walks. We made projects. We answered narrations. We filled notebooks with copywork, numbers, drawings, and discoveries. Nasa akin na ang evidence.
Pero bakit kailangan ko pang gumugol ng ilang oras para lang magkasya at pumantay ang lahat sa isang page? And this was only our first portfolio. Next quarter, uulitin ko na naman?
